Football freestyle athlete Joel Asare has been appointed to hoist the flag for Team Ghana ahead of the grand opening ceremony today at the Beach Park in Sal.
With the display of Ghana colors and flags to the other countries during the marching, this decision will ensure the 23year old leads Ghana’s contingent for the grand opening ceremony.
In a discussion with other team members in a brief meeting presided over by the Chef de Mission, Stephen Asante Bekoe, Karate do athlete Edmund Amoako Asante has been handed the leadership role as the captain of the team.
The latest development is expected to ginger these athletes to do their best for their colleagues to replicate them during the games.
Validity of their mandate holds till the end of the games.
