The University of Ghana Rugby Stadium was abuzz with excitement on Saturday, May 31, 2025, as Week 4 of the Rugby League Federation Ghana’s Men’s 13s Championship delivered two thrilling matches.
Skolars Rugby League Club continued their impressive run, trouncing the UG Titans 40–4 in the day’s first match. Meanwhile, Accra Panthers staged a dramatic comeback, defeating the previously unbeaten Dragons 30–12.

Skolars’ victory over the UG Titans was a masterclass in precision and power on both sides of the ball. Despite the Titans’ early lead, Skolars responded strongly, with Emmanuel Acheampong scoring two tries and Chris Da-Gama adding four conversions to seal the win. The result keeps Skolars’ perfect record intact, placing them atop the table with 9 points.

In the second match of the day, Accra Panthers ended their two-match losing streak with a convincing 30–12 win over the Dragons.
The Panthers dominated the game, scoring five tries and converting three, with Darryl Amoatey perfect with the boot. Despite a late surge from the Dragons, the Panthers held firm to secure a crucial victory that keeps their playoff hopes alive.
The wins have significantly reshaped the championship standings. Skolars remain at the top with a perfect record, while the Panthers jump to fourth place with 3 points. The Dragons, meanwhile, drop to second place with 4 points, narrowly ahead of defending champions Bulls on points difference.

With several teams still in contention, the battle for the 2025 title promises to be intense and unpredictable. Will the Skolars maintain their unbeaten streak, or will another team rise to challenge them?
