First lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo has urged parents of children with Special Needs not to view the challenges associated with their condition as a disadvantage.
Instead, they should understand the condition and find strength to overcome the adversity that comes with it.
According to Mrs Akufo-Addo, giving up on such children is not an option and parents and government alike, must make a conscious effort to invest in them to better their future.
She gave this advice when she joined children of the New Horizon Special School at Cantonment in Accra at a thanksgiving durbar to celebrate the founder, Mrs Salome Francois who turned 90.
