Dr. Opuni Trial: Missing documents still not found witness tells court

The missing documents which was demanded by an Accra high court to be produced by the Cocoa Research Institute Ghana, CRIG, in the on going trial of former COCOBOD Chief Executive Officer, (CEO), Dr, Stephen Opuni has still not been found.

The fourth prosecution witness Dr. Alfred Arthur, who is the Acting Head of the Soil Science Division of CRIG told the court that the committee which was constituted to investigate the issue has still not found the document and has also not been able to unravel the circumstances leading to its disappearance.

He prayed the court to give the committee more time to present a final report.

The court presided over by Justice Clemence Honyenugah therefore gave the committee up to the 4th of next month to file a report. before the nextc adjournment which is on the 6th of February.
Former CEO of COCOBOD Dr. Stephen Opuni is standing trial together with businessman Seidu Adongo on various charges including causing financial loss to the state.
