The much-anticipated three-day trip named TrekGh: The Western Experience, organized by Lifestyle TV, has officially commenced, with participants expressing great enthusiasm as they prepare to explore the captivating tourist attractions of Ghana’s Western Region.
The journey, which aims to promote domestic tourism and spotlight hidden areas within the region, has attracted several prominent personalities. Among them are the Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr. Abeiku Santana, and renowned media personality Kafui Dey, host of the GTV Breakfast Show.

Speaking ahead of the trip, Kafui Dey shared his excitement, highlighting the importance of the initiative in showcasing Ghana’s tourism potential.“They say the best comes from the West, and it’s true. We are here to sample it and give you a flavor of what the Western Region has to offer,” he remarked.
The first stop on this cultural and historical adventure was Fort Orange, one of Ghana’s historic and significant sites, located in Sekondi. Participants were be taken on a guided tour of the fort to learn about its colonial past and its role in the region’s development.

The group will check in at the luxurious Maaha Beach Resort, where a relaxing and entertaining evening awaits. Activities planned for the night include a candlelight dinner and a live band performance, offering a perfect blend of leisure and culture.
The trip is designed not only to entertain but also to educate and inspire both Ghanaians and visitors about the rich heritage, scenic beauty, and investment potential of the Western Region.
