Six persons have been confirmed dead in parts of the North East Region and about 2,285 hectares of farmland submerged in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region.

This comes after the spillage of the Bagre and Kompienga Dams in Burkina Faso coupled with torrential rains in the Upper East Region.

Deputy Upper East Regional Minister, Frank Adongo and some NADMO officials made this known during a tour of the affected areas.
