The Ghana Journalists Association has again expressed concern over the falling standards of professionalism in journalism culminating in high levels of ethical misconduct by practitioners.
In an interview with GBC NEWS to herald World Radio Day, which falls tomorrow President of the Association Roland Affail Monney charged stakeholders in the media, particularly the National Media Commission to take a hard look at the misuse of radio such as using it to over politicize national issues.
On the closure of radio stations for supposed infractions of the law, Mr. Monney asked the National Communication Authority to restore the operations of the affected stations.
He said the importance of radio to national development is paramount and above other considerations.
