Government says it has begun talks with a group of individuals who have developed a new filtration system that will purify water up to about ninety- nine percent before consumption, especially for rural dwellers.
The Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah made this known when the Canadian Ambassador Heather Cameron, paid a courtesy call on her.
She noted that government is committed to providing potable water for all under the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, WASH Programme.
Government, she said, is working assiduously to protect the country’s water bodies, even as it prepares to lift the ban on small scale mining.
