Government has launched the “Young Africa Works Project” which seeks to create about 40,000 jobs for the youth within three years.

The project which is an initiative of the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) and MasterCard Foundation targets women, as 70 percent of the jobs will be reserved for them.

Launching the initiative, the first lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo expressed worry about the persistent increase in youth unemployment despite the many youth employment initiatives by government.
