The MP for Gomoa West Richard Gyan – Mensa has called for strict enforcement of the ban on beaches. The President in his 24th update on Covid 19 restated the ban on beaches under the Imposition of Restrictions Act 2020, ACT 1012.

Mr. Gyan-Mensah said there appears to be total disregard for this ban. The MP made the call when he made an urgent statement on the floor of the House on the drowning of 13 teenagers who had gone swimming at Apam Beach.

Mr. Gyan-Mensah however dismissed media reports that the children had gone there for some undesirable reasons, insisting they only went swimming as they usually do.

MP for Pusiga, Laadi Ayamba also contributed. Meanwhile the debate on the State of the Nation Address by the President is continuing.
