The Accra Regional Police Command has commenced investigations into a burglary at the La Court registrar’s office on Sunday dawn in Accra.
The thieves, yet to be identified, were reported to have hit, gain access, and ransack the office.
The Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Office command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) EffiaTenge disclosed in Accra on Monday, October 5.
She said on October 4 at about 2 p.m., the Assistant Registrar of the La District Magistrate Court reported that he received a phone call that the office of the Court Registrar, which is housed in the premises of the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly premises, had been broken into from the back window.
DSP Tenge said police proceeded to the scene and found out that a thief or thieves forced the sliding window opened, hit the burglar-proof with a heavy object, and forced their way into the office. She said items stolen were not known yet.
