Activities of a quarry company operating at Sofokrom near Inchaban have completely blocked the flow of water from the Anankor River to the Inchaban Water Treatment Plant of the Ghana Water Company.
The plant, with a capacity of four million gallons of water a day now processes 1.4 million gallons a day.
Already, water is being rationed in most parts of the Sekondi- Takoradi metropolis due to low levels of raw water for treatment.
