The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, has inaugurated an independent Petition Review Committee to examine a petition submitted by Adamus Resources Limited following the revocation of its mining leases.
The leases in question cover the Nkroful, Akango, and Salman concessions.
The fact-finding committee, chaired by Jerry Samuel Yaw Kuma, has been tasked to independently establish the full facts surrounding the matter. The committee is expected to submit its findings and recommendations within three weeks.
In a parallel move, the Minister also inaugurated an Interim Management Committee to oversee operations at the affected mines while the review process is underway. The committee is chaired by Mawufemor Otsyina, described as a seasoned processing manager.
According to the Minister, the dual approach is aimed at ensuring operational stability, protecting jobs, and safeguarding the national interest as the review proceeds.
He expressed confidence that both committees will carry out their mandates with integrity and diligence.
