Her Excellency the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, will today visit flood-affected communities in Accra following the recent heavy rains that caused widespread flooding in parts of the capital.
The visit is aimed at assessing the extent of the damage, interacting with affected residents, and obtaining first-hand information on the challenges confronting the communities.
As part of the visit, the Vice President will engage with local authorities, emergency response teams, and community leaders to gain deeper insight into the situation on the ground and ongoing relief efforts.
The visit forms part of the Government’s commitment to responding swiftly to the needs of affected persons, coordinating relief interventions, and working with relevant stakeholders to implement measures aimed at mitigating the impact of flooding and preventing future occurrences
