The Ghanaian Times is urging everyone to take precautionary measures on the COVID-19 as it has been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation following its spread worldwide across multiple continents. Aside Wuhan which has been on lockdown, Italy which has about 60 million people including a significant number of Ghanaians, has also been on lock down whiles fear has gripped Germany and many other countries. The paper finds it assuring by the decision taken by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to release $100 million to enhance Ghana’s preparedness and response plan towards the disease. The government has already suspended all international travels by the public officials except for critical assignments and has urged Ghanaians as much as possible, desist from all foreign travels, except the most critical ones, until there is a grip on the virus. As the government has put in place measures to protect us, the paper is therefore advising the citizenry to play their part by adhering to the precautionary measures by the WHO.

The Daily Graphic says everyone must be careful with COVID-19 scare as the World Health Organisation has declared the disease pandemic. According to the WHO, countries are now reporting more than 1,000 cases that have infected nearly 120,000 people nationwide.
