The Ghana Tourism Authority, GTA, has underscored the growing importance of Ghana’s beverage industry in enhancing tourism and national experience, following the successful hosting of the 10th edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards.
The milestone event, held on April 18, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, brought together key industry players, policymakers, and stakeholders to celebrate a decade of excellence in the beverage sector.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Ben Anane Nsiah, who represented the Chief Executive Officer, Maame Efua Houdjeto highlighted the strong connection between beverages and tourism, describing the sector as a key contributor to Ghana’s hospitality and cultural identity.
He added that such experiences often leave lasting impressions on visitors, reinforcing Ghana’s reputation as a destination rich in culture and lifestyle.

“From a tourism perspective, beverages play a powerful role in shaping visitor experiences. Whether it is a refreshing local drink on a warm afternoon or a premium beverage served in our finest hotels, these moments stay with people,” he noted.
