The Vice President of Ghana, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has extended her best wishes to all candidates sitting for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), urging them to approach the exams with confidence and integrity.

In a statement issued by the Office of the Vice President on Monday, May 4, 2026, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed confidence in the preparedness of the students, noting that years of effort, discipline and dedication would guide them to success.

She encouraged candidates to remain focused and uphold honesty throughout the examination period, emphasizing the importance of determination in achieving their academic goals.

The Vice President also commended the Ghana Education Service, teachers, parents and other stakeholders for their commitment to preparing students for the examination.

She further called on supervisors, invigilators and school authorities to maintain high standards of fairness and transparency to ensure a credible examination process and outcomes.

The statement was signed by the Press Secretary and Spokesperson to the Vice President, Ama Pratt.
