Ghana’s World Cup squad will feature 15 debutants after Carlos Queiroz named his 26-man team for the tournament. Ernest Nuamah leads the new faces, set to make their first appearance on football’s biggest stage as the Black Stars prepare for Group L.

Also making their World Cup bow are Derrick Luckassen, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Caleb Yienkyi and Prince Adu-Kwabena. Brandon Thomas-Asante, Augustine Boakye, Kojo Peprah Oppong, Jonas Adjetey, Jerome Opoku, Kwesi Sibo, Abdul Mumin and Marvin Senaya are likewise set for their first taste of the tournament.

In goal, Benjamin Asare and Joseph Anang complete the list of debutants. Their inclusion adds a fresh layer to a squad that mixes emerging talent with experienced names from across Europe and beyond.

Among the returning players, several are preparing for a second World Cup appearance, while Jordan Ayew remains the only member of the squad heading to a third. That balance of youth and experience gives Ghana a varied look as the team finalises preparations.

The Black Stars will face Wales in a friendly on Tuesday before travelling to the United States. Ghana open their World Cup campaign in Group L against England, Croatia and Panama.
