Ghana Federation of Traditional Medicine Practitioners (GAFTRAM) has expressed concern about the delay in testing the herbal drugs submitted to the Health and Standard Authorities for verification and validation.
According to the organization, while other countries are supporting their Research and Pharmaceutical Companies to find a cure to COVID-19 and other diseases, Ghana’s story seems to be different.
The Public Affairs Director of the Ghana Standards Authority, Dr. Kofi Amponsah Bediako, however, thinks otherwise.
Speaking to George Ankrah, he said though time is of the essence in determining the efficacy of vaccines, care must be taken to do a thorough check.
