As part of efforts towards addressing illegal maritime activities such as piracy, illegal fishing and drug trafficking, the Ghana Navy in collaboration with the Marine Police, Narcotics Control Board, National Petroleum Authority and the United States Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment has conducted a joint operation, dubbed, “Operation Junction Rain” to avert threats to the country’s territorial waters.

The week long operation sought to increase the capabilities of the law enforcement agencies in the maritime domain.
