Flag-bearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama says the party is disappointed in the Supreme Court ruling on the compilation of new voters’s register by the EC for the December elections.
Speaking at a media briefing after a seven-member panel of the Supreme Court gave the EC the go-ahead to compile a new register, Mr Mahama said his party totally disagrees with the apex court. He said the ruling has confused many legal practitioners and thrown the country into disarray.
Mr. Mahama said the NDC is known for its inclusive governance while the NPP only brings out policies that only seek to disenfranchise the people.
The NDC Flag-bearer called on Ghanaians not to be discouraged by the ruling but rather come out in their numbers to register when registration begins on Tuesday.
Mr. Mahama was optimistic that whether a new register is compiled or not the NDC will win the upcoming elections.
