National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Aseidu Nketia, has called on grassroot supporters of the party to remain patient and united as the party continues its post-election engagements across the country.
Speaking during his thank you tour of the Upper East Region, Mr. Aseidu Nketia assured party faithful that their dedication and loyalty would not go unrewarded.
He used a familiar metaphor to drive home his message, stating, “When your mother is in the kitchen, you are assured of a meal,” emphasizing confidence in the party’s leadership to deliver for its supporters.

Day one of his tour took him to Talensi, Nabdam, Bongo, and Bongo East constituencies, where he met with chiefs, party supporters, and community members. The visit forms part of efforts to express gratitude to the electorate and reinforce the party’s connection with its base.
“After the elections, many people will be expecting jobs. Some hope to be appointed as CEOs, DCEs, or directors of school feeding programmes, while others look forward to roles as teachers, security officers, and more. Some have also been working quietly behind the scenes. However, I can assure you that everyone who contributed to the victory will be duly recognized and rewarded,” Mr. Nketia said.

Mr. Aseidu Nketia was accompanied by key members of the party’s leadership at both the regional and constituency levels, underscoring the importance of unity and collective responsibility in moving the party forward.
He encouraged supporters to remain committed and continue working at the party’s grassroots to strengthen the NDC’s presence ahead of future political contests.
The chairman’s message of patience and assurance was well received by attendees, who expressed optimism about the party’s direction and renewed determination to support its activities across the region.
