The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), has suspended boxer Patrick Allotey with immediate effect for assaulting a football fan during the clash between Hearts and Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
WBO Africa Super Welterweight champion, Patrick Allotey, was captured assaulting a fan of Kotoko after a heated argument between the two.
It is unclear what caused the confusion, but the incident has since sparked outrage on social media.
A letter to the boxer signed by Peter Zwennes, GBA President, on February 6 said the suspension was due to misconduct.
