Government reiterates determination to grow private sector

Minister for Business Development, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, has expressed the determination of government to grow the private sector since it has helped stabilize the Ghanaian economy.

He was speaking last night at the fourth edition of the ‘Forty under Forty Awards’ in Accra at which a cross section of Ghana’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of forty were honored.

Dr. Awal said but for Covid-19 Ghana’s economy would have been a landmark, nevertheless government is doing it can to bring it back on track.

Richard Nii Armah Quaye of Quick Credit and Investment Limited picked the coveted award.

Other award winners are Gabriel Awuah Manu for Authorship and Creative Writing, Wisdom Mawuli Parku, Travel and Tourism and Samuel Acheampong for Journalism, Radio TV and Newspaper.

Event Director of Exodus Communication Limited, Organizers of the Awards, Richard Abbey, said the awards are aimed at building a strong platform for young entrepreneurs thereby giving them a voice and opportunities to the next generation of industry pacesetters.
