Cabinet has approved an increase in budgetary allocation in science research to one percent (1%).
Currently, budgetary allocation to science is 0.45% of the GDP.
The Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof. Frimpong Boateng disclosed this at an Awards Ceremony organised by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to honour scientists with Life Time Recognition.
