Ranking Member on the Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee of Parliament and Member of Parliament, (MP), for Tamale Central, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has denied any meeting with the Special Prosecutor in the case involving former Sports Minister, Mahama Ayariga.

He also denied any knowledge of MP’s meeting the Speaker concerning that case.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Ghana, Alhaji Fuseini said there is no way Parliament will obstruct the work of the Special Prosecutor because the law which set up the office clearly insulates it from manipulation.

The Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu, in May commenced the prosecution of the Bawku Central MP after charging him for ‘fraudulently’ evading tax and dealing in foreign currency without a license.
