Speaker of Parliament Professor, Aaron Mike Oquaye has told MP’s they have a short time to execute business of the house.
To this end, they are expected to give off their best in the interest of the House.
Meanwhile, in accordance with the law, President Akufo Addo is expected to address the House before the dissolution of the 7th parliament.
The Speaker was addressing Parliament when it resumed from recess yesterday.
Majority leader, Osei Kyei -Mensah -Bonsu entreated the House to give utmost importance to the work in parliament so that they can conclude business successfully.
He said the work ahead is enormous and entreated MP’s to put all hands on deck. Mr. Kyei-Mensah -Bonsu said there are 7 bills to be considered in 7 days before the house rises hence the need to cooperate to end the 7th Parliament successfully.
Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu expressed reservation about the mayhem that characterized the just ended elections.
He lamented the loss of lives and called for perpetrators to be brought to book.
