The Director, Faculty of Academic Affairs and Research at Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Dr Kwesi Aning says there is the need for a different approach to dealing with criminals in the country.
According to him, it is the only way to combat the recent high rate of crime in the country.
Speaking at a NATO Strategic Direction South Hub Operations Assessment workshop in Accra, Dr Aning said individuals who break the law and disturb public peace in the name of political parties should be dealt with as criminal gangs and not political vigilantes.
