The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Abeiku Santana, has expressed gratitude to Nigerian artiste and entrepreneur Mr Eazi following his pledge to invest $2m in building a 3,000-capacity event centre in Accra, alongside indoor and outdoor facilities.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Abeiku Santana welcomed the initiative and confirmed that engagement had begun. “We have reached out to Eazi, my brother, and we’re grateful to him for the call… watch out,” he wrote.

Mr Eazi made the announcement during his performance at the Detty Rave concert in Accra on December 28, 2025, where he appealed to the Ghana Tourism Authority to provide land for the project. He stressed the need for well-structured venues to support events in Ghana and boost the country’s entertainment industry.

The strong turnout at Mr Eazi’s Detty Rave festival further highlighted the growing demand for quality event spaces in Accra, reinforcing calls for increased investment in entertainment infrastructure.
