Ghanaian highlife musician Peter Famiyeh Bozah, popularly known in the music industry as Fameye, has pushed back against the notion that his songs are often “sad,” clarifying that his music is actually geared towards uplifting people spiritually and emotionally.
In an interview on GTV’s Breakfast Show, Fameye emphasised that while his vocals may convey a lot of emotions, it doesn’t necessarily mean his songs are sad.
According to the ‘Nothing I Get’ hitmaker, his music reflects his life experiences and the struggles he faced growing up. These experiences have significantly influenced his music, with Fameye stating that the pain he suffered is often reflected in his songs.
“I didn’t have it easy growing up, but things are better now. I also didn’t know I would be a musician, but I was sure I would become an entertainer because I loved attention and being in the spotlight,” he said.
While Fameye acknowledges that some of his songs may be perceived as sad, he believes that’s a natural part of expressing emotions through music.
