Music lovers were treated to an unforgettable night as ‘Taste The Culture’ took centre stage at the Black Star Square in Accra, on December 26, 2025.
“Taste the Culture: A Black Star Experience” is a unified tourism initiative centered on Ghana’s lively music, culinary traditions, and vibrant fashion scene.
The event drew a large crowd of revellers and creatives, with performances from top African acts including Tiwa Savage, Gyakie, King Promise, Black Sherif, among other,s setting the tone for an energetic and immersive experience.
However, the biggest moment of the night came unexpectedly when Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido made a surprise appearance on stage.
Davido’s entry sent the crowd into a frenzy as he joined fellow Nigerian singer Omah Lay mid-performance.
The duo performed their hit collaboration ‘With You’, prompting loud cheers, sing-alongs and excitement across the venue. Many fans captured the moment on their phones, while others described it as the highlight of the concert.
The surprise cameo added to the electric atmosphere of the night, reinforcing Taste The Culture’s reputation as one of the standout events of the festive season.
Davido’s brief but powerful appearance underscored the strong musical ties between Ghana and Nigeria and the growing appeal of Ghana as a hub for major African music moments.
Beyond the music, ‘Taste The Culture’ lived up to its name with showcases of Ghanaian cuisine, fashion and cultural expressions, reflecting the broader vision of promoting African heritage and creativity.
This signature program serves as the main driver of “The Black Star Experience,” the overarching national campaign recently launched by President John Dramani Mahama to reshape and promote Ghana’s cultural identity worldwide.
