Kumasi: VEEP Bawumiah catalogues govt’s achievements at Townhall meeting

Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says government has fulfilled 78% of its 388 manifesto promises. This represents 302 of the promises in a raw count of its manifesto promises.

Dr Bawumiah was speaking at a Town Hall Meeting and Results Fair in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital in the Ashanti Regional Capital

Dr. Bawumia said the exchange rate under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been twice as stable compared to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and wonders why the NDC insists it has been better.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said depositors of DKM who lost their deposits will also receive 100% of their deposits just like those of the recently closed banks and other financial institutions.

Among the achievements the Vice President listed is the introduction of a mobile app for the purchase of electricity which will be launched on the 18th of this month.

He added that Volkswagon and Toyota will fully start work in Ghana before the year ends.
