As the Marburg virus continues to spread gradually, Chairman of NGOs in Health, Bright Amissah Nyarko, has called for intense education and adherence to safety protocols to help halt the infestation.
Speaking to GBC News, Mr. Amissah Nyarko stressed the need for people to stay away from fluids from animals and also limit casual intimate relationships.
He explained that since the virus is transmitted through body fluids, it will be prudent to reconsider how the dead is buried.
