The family of the late Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Ghana’s longest-serving First Lady, has held a press briefing ahead of her final funeral rites.

Speaking at the briefing, the head of the family and Akomfuohene of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Oheneba Akwasi Abayie, announced that the state funeral will begin at 6 a.m on November 28th, 2025, at the Independence square.













He called on the general public to attend in their numbers and pay their last respects as the former First Lady is laid to rest. The family described the ceremony as a moment for the nation to honour her legacy and decades of service.
