Experts in International Relations and Security have ruled out any possible strain on the relationship between Ghana and China following the arrest of Aisha Huang.
The news of Aisha Huang’s re-arrest in Ghana after she was deported for her involvement in illegal mining left many shocked and disappointed.
The former Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo justified the decision to deport Aisha Huang arguing that jailing her had diplomatic consequences for Ghana in its quest for support from China.
However speaking on GBC’s ‘Behind the News’, International Relations Expert, Professor Vladimir Antwi Danso said Miss Huang’s re-arrest will not in any way ”sever relations between Ghana and China”.
