Christians have been urged to make the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ count by living its purpose of peace-building, reconciliation as well as forgiveness of the wrongs committed against each other, whether within the church, family or among friends.
It is through this that they will also be evangelsing the love of God, through Christ, to even unbelievers, especially during this Easter festive period.
The General Overseer of the Christ Resurrection Church, Apostle Joseph Emmanuel Mensah, gave the advice in Kumasi during a health walk to mark 40 years of the establishment of the Church.

Christ Resurrection Church, established 40 years ago with seven branches, now has about 3,000 members worshipping in 26 branches located across Ghana, the United States and Pakistan with the headquarters in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region.
Since its establishment in 1984 by seven leaders, the church fully appreciates that God has been faithful with them by his mercy, grace and protection against particularly frequent and untimely deaths whose prevalence necessitated the Church’s breakaway from the Builders’ Salvation.
A Minister of the Church, Rev. Prof. Eric Ofosu Antwi, who led the health walk, explained that it is not just a part of activities commemorating the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Church, but also as one of the strategies to proclaim the divinity of Jesus Christ to the secular world.
“The church has to be known. The church has come out and let the world know what Jesus has done for us. We’re saying that, our God is a Covenant keeping God so we’re going round exhibiting the goodness of the Lord”, he said cheerfully.
Members of the church, who have converged on Kumasi from all 26 branches in Ghana for the celebration, walked for about two and a half kilometres.
Amidst brass band music in a frenzy mood, they started off from the KNUST Senior High School premises at Boadi Junction and went through the St. Louis SHS traffic signal, Kentinkrono, Tek Police Station, Tek Junction, Bomso Traffic light and went through the KNUST Campus and Ayeduase before ending at Kotei.

This, the General Overseer of the Christ Resurrection Church, Apostle Joseph Mensah, noted that the Church acknowledges the goodness of God in its affairs during the 40-year period hence the choice of the theme of the Health walk: “Covenant Keeper”.
“Right from that time, God gave us a sign that he was covenanting with us. For 5 years ahead of us, we didn’t bury even an infant, and for 5 years, it happened that we never buried anyone, even an infant in the church. And this is what convinced us that, this covenant is really a true covenant that the Lord had with us,” the General OVERSEER explained to GBC.
Apostle Mensah used the opportunity to advise Christians to use the Easter festive period to convince the world that Christ’s death and resurrection were worth it by seeking and making peace with one another, and forgive their offenders.
