The Ga South Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organised a special quiz competition to mark Ghana’s 68th Independence Anniversary.
The event, held on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, at the Divine Healer’s Church in Domeabra, brought together four participating schools: Domeabra Methodist ‘A’ Basic School, Domeabra Methodist ‘B’ Basic School, Danchira M/A Basic School, and Ayikuma Memorial M/A Basic School.
The competition aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the 1992 Constitution, democracy, governance, civic responsibilities, and other topics that promote responsible and patriotic citizenship.

The programme was attended by the Greater Accra Regional Director of the NCCE, Mr Mawuli Agbenu, and the Ga South Municipal Director of the NCCE, Mr George Obeng Osei, as well as teachers, Civic Education Club patrons, staff, and students from the participating schools.
After five rounds of intense competition, Domeabra Methodist ‘A’ Basic School emerged as the overall winner. All participants received prizes, while each school was awarded a certificate of participation. The winning school also received a trophy to commemorate their achievement.
Organisers described the event as a successful and memorable celebration of civic learning and patriotism.
