3 out of 7 Firefighters involved in Kade accident discharged

Three out of the Seven Firefighters, from the Kade Fire Station, who were involved in an accident at the Otwenkwanta on the outskirts of Kade in the Eastern Region, have been discharged.

The remaining four are still on admission at the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua responding to treatment.

Following the accident the seven fighters were taken to the St. Dominic Hospital at Akwatia and the Kade Government Hospital.

They were then transferred to the Eastern Regional Hospital at Koforidua for further monitoring and treatment. Meanwhile, the Chief Fire Officer, Mr. Julius Kuunuor and Management of the Ghana National Fire Service have visited the injured Firefighters at the Hospital and the accident scene.

Management of the Ghana Fire Service says the Service remains committed to serving the public and ensuring the safety and well-being of its personnel.
