Four suspected kidnappers aged between eighteen and thirty-four, have been shot dead in a forest near Busunu in the Savannah Region.
The four were alleged to have kidnapped a four-year-old son of the Fulani Chief of Busunu on June 29.
A Police situational report indicates that a local search party dispatched to trace the whereabouts of the boy was met with gunshots four miles from the Busunu township.
The report said the search party returned fire, leading to the death of the four alleged kidnappers.
