A charitable organisation known as the Givers of Life Foundation (GOLF), as part of its humanitarian support, has reached out to the vulnerable at Siiro in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of the Upper West Region.
The package given to the Siiro community was made up of some bales of used clothing, bags, and footwear.
The Founder of Givers of Life Foundation, Aadam Abigail Ali Musah, who is a resident in the US, said as someone born in the northern part of the country, she is conversant with the economic challenges of the area.

She indicated that in spite of the economic challenges in a youthful age, her parents planted in her the seed of selflessness and the need to extend a hand of support to people who are in need.
According to Madam Abigail Musah, the public-spirited idea that she picked up from her parents, especially her father who contributed a lot to the development of education in the Upper West Region made her establish the Givers of Life Foundation to support the less fortunate in society.

She stressed the need for communities to come together and improve their lot by leveraging on support that is extended to them.
Madam Musah said the motivation to assist those who are in need stems from the challenges she experienced growing up in the northern part of Ghana and entreated public-spirited individuals and organisations to partner with her foundation to give a leg up to more people.

The Chief of Siiro, Naa Bapagera-nnenge Dakurah, expressed appreciation to Givers of Life Foundation for choosing his community to reach out to the vulnerable. He continued that those who have been blessed must make it a point to give a leg up to the less fortunate in order to put a smile on their faces.

A Director of the Foundation, Gaeten Kala, admonished parents not to encourage their children to engage in galamsey but rather see to it that their children are educated.

The Ghana Patron of the Givers of Life Foundation, Peter Yenube Laary, expressed gratitude to the Siiro community for responding to the gesture of the benefactors and urged them to cultivate the habit of sharing as well as live lives worthy of emulation.
