Last week, the Chief Executive and Management of GRIDCo spent time with the Kumasi and Techiman Operational Areas.
The engagement with the Kumasi Area coincided with a visit by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah who was also on a tour of key entities in Kumasi.
The Regional Minister reassured GRIDCo staff of his support for the Company’s operations and activities. During a question-and-answer session, concerns about Right of Way (RoW) and protection of GRIDCo’s assets were raised with a request for support to manage them.
On improving security around the Kumasi Substation, Hon Osei-Mensah pledged to provide additional police personnel to prevent any threats to the substation in an era of sub-regional terrorism,
Chief Executive, Ing. Ebenezer Essienyi extended the appreciation of Management and staff to Hon. Osei-Mensah and the Ashanti Regional Security Council for their collaboration, which facilitates GRIDCo’s critical work in the Ashanti Region.
