Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned what he called the heinous killing of worshippers at the St Francis Catholic Church in Ondo State on Sunday, May, 2022.
The President, in a statement said only evil persons could have conceived and carried out such a dastardly act.
He said eternal sorrow awaits them both on earth and ultimately in the hereafter.
President Buhari, who mourned the dead, condoled with their families, the Catholic Church, and the government of Ondo State, charged emergency agencies to swing into action, and bring succor to the wounded.
Meanwhile, Pope Francis says he is praying for the victims and for Nigeria.
