The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, on Monday, August 11, 2025, led a delegation of parliamentary leaders to the residence of the late Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, to commiserate with his family.

The late Muniru was among eight high-profile persons who died in a helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Adansi Akrofoum in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking during the visit, Rt. Hon. Bagbin reflected on the inevitability of life and death, urging the bereaved family to take solace in the good legacy left by the deceased.

“Man will always propose, and God will dispose. None of us knows when we will come into the world, and none of us knows when we will leave. So, we thank God because He gave us very good people, and they have served well,” he said.

The Speaker recalled his long-standing relationship with the late Alhaji Muniru, describing him as a trusted aide and confidant.

“He was my administrator, and before you saw me, you had to see him first. That is who I worked with for the past 12 months when I was with the Ministry of Health. Since then, he has been very, very close,” Speaker Bagbin noted.

The delegation included the Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga; Deputy Minority Leader, Patricia Appiagyei; and Majority Chief Whip, Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor.

They offered words of comfort to the grieving family and paid tribute to the late Alhaji Muniru’s dedicated service.
