Motorist’s risk getting their tyres deflated as soon as they drive over the ramps at the Tsokpoli toll booth, on the Accra-Aflao Road. This is because the iron rods used in constructing the ramps have all been exposed due to the eroding concrete.
Our citizen journalist, who recently plied the route, found out from the traders that the situation has persisted for months. She says road users want this brought to the attention of managers of the Road Fund, Highway Authority as well as the Ministry of Roads and Highways.

Drivers are compelled to meander those parts of the ramps. However, plying the route at night could deflate the tyres of unsuspecting motorists. According to traders, the situation has gone unattended for months.
Since the establishment of the Road Fund in 1985 and amended in 2000, to mandate the Ministry of Roads and Highways to collect Road funds, road users are concerned that not much has been done to maintain the roads in Ghana.
They say, it appears it has become the norm rather than the exception to find deteriorated roads in many parts of the country especially where the toll booths have been sited.
