The water level in the Akosombo Dam is receding, a good indication that the spillage may be halted if the decline persists.
As of yesterday, the level in the lake was 84.49 metres, dropping from 84.51 metres the previous day below the maximum level of 84.73 metres, Deputy Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority, VRA in Charge of services Mr. Kenneth Arthur says the Dam is in a good state, explaining that the spillage was necessary to protect it.
