The Daily Graphic congratulates the three Eminent Chiefs and the people of Dagbon especially the Andanis and Abudus on committing to the peace process so far. The paper notes the healthy signs associated with the reconstruction of the Gbewaa Palace and the prevalence of utmost security. It urges the Kampakuya Naa and Bolin Lana to help in the effective implementation of the road map to ensure lasting peace in Dagbon.

The Ghanaian Times is of the opinion that excuses that Ghanaian boxer Isaac Dogboe was not physically conditioned for the fight with Mexico’s Emmanuel Navarrete is untenable. Dogboe’s father who happens to be his trainer is said to have made excuses for his son saying he was pre-occupied with school and programmes such as the royal visit by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall as well as the Hogbetsotso and thus was unable to prepare for the fight. The paper says looking at Dogboe’s capabilities, his performance is not what Ghanaians bargained for. The Times is however of the hope that Isaac Dogboe still remains a warrior and will bounce back quickly.
