Bournemouth are reportedly lining up a move for Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as a direct replacement for his Ghanaian teammate Antoine Semenyo, should he secure his anticipated January transfer to Manchester City.
The Cherries have identified the 20-year-old as their top target, with sources indicating Leicester could be open to offers around £30 million.
This development underscores Bournemouth’s proactive planning amid interest from the Premier League champions in Semenyo’s pace and goal-scoring prowess.
Semenyo has been a revelation for Bournemouth since joining from Bristol City in 2023, netting nine goals and providing three assists in the 2025/26 campaign so far.
His explosive performances have caught Manchester City’s eye, with reports suggesting a deal is advancing for the 25-year-old Black Stars forward.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has praised Semenyo’s impact but hinted at contingency plans, refusing to rule out a mid-season exit.
Abdul Fatawu, another Ghanaian talent, fits the profile perfectly with his direct dribbling and versatility on the wings.
Now a regular starter for the Foxes, Fatawu’s pace and creativity mirror Semenyo’s attributes, making him an ideal squad successor.
