President John Mahama has assented to the 24-Hour Economy Authority Bill, giving full legal backing to one of the government’s flagship strategies for economic transformation.
Speaking shortly after signing the Bill into law, President Mahama said the process had taken time to ensure all legal requirements were properly addressed.

“I just appended my signature to give assent to the 24-Hour Economy Authority Bill. This Bill Ghanaians have been waiting for; it was one of our flagship strategies for economic transformation,” he stated.
The President noted that with the legal framework now in place, the focus must shift from planning to execution.
“From now, we must move from strategy to implementation. The business sector is waiting, Ghanaian investors are waiting, foreign investors are waiting,” he said.
He explained that investors are keen to see the package of incentives the government will roll out to stimulate investment, expand productivity, and create sustainable employment opportunities, particularly for the youth.
President Mahama expressed appreciation to the team that worked on the legislation, singling out Presidential Advisor Goosie Tanoh and his team for their efforts.

He described the assent as a significant milestone in operationalising the 24-hour economy policy and positioning Ghana for accelerated growth.
