Sahel Sahara and Omni Bank merge

Omni Bank owned by Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong and his wife, Mrs Agyepong and Sahel Sahara Bank owned by 13 Sahelian countries, have decided to merge in order to meet Bank of Ghana’s new minimum capital requirement of GH¢400 million by December 2018.
The merger deal, which has been approved by Bank of Ghana, BOG, is expected to take place later this month.
