Chelsea Football Club has announced a significant partnership with DAMAC Properties, a leading Emirati property development company, to serve as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. The deal, however, excludes the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
DAMAC’s branding will debut on Chelsea’s kits during the UEFA Conference League semi-final against Djurgården and will feature on the team’s shirts for the final four Premier League fixtures.
Partnership details
The partnership between Chelsea and DAMAC Properties goes beyond shirt sponsorship, with the two entities collaborating on the development of Chelsea-branded residences in Dubai. The luxury real estate project is expected to exceed £1 billion in value and will bring Chelsea’s brand to life in the Middle East. Jason Gannon, president and COO of Chelsea Football Club, expressed his excitement about the partnership, highlighting DAMAC’s reputation for building luxury properties.
Ongoing search for long-term sponsor
While DAMAC Properties will be Chelsea’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the remainder of the season, the club is still searching for a long-term partner. The search process remains ongoing, and potential sponsors for the FIFA Club World Cup are also being considered. Chelsea’s shirt sponsorship deal with Infinite Athlete last season was a one-year agreement, and the club is now looking to secure a more permanent partnership.
DAMAC’s brand exposure
DAMAC Properties will gain significant brand exposure through its partnership with Chelsea, with its logo featuring prominently on the team’s shirts during key matches. The company’s branding will be showcased to a global audience, given Chelsea’s massive following and the high profile of the UEFA Conference League.
Luxury residences project
The collaboration between Chelsea and DAMAC Properties on luxury residences in Dubai is a unique aspect of the partnership. The project is expected to bring Chelsea’s brand to the forefront of luxury living in the Middle East, with the residences potentially becoming a sought-after destination for Chelsea fans and luxury property buyers.
